1. Hat to Sweater (for small dogs or puppies)

1. Lay the hat flat and using a pair of sharp scissors cut the crown of the hat off. This will be the hole that your dog’s head goes through.
2. Next cut a small hole big enough for your dog’s leg on either side of the hat.
3. That’s it!

Can I put a shirt on my dog instead of a cone?

You can make your pet a “jacket” out of an old t-shirt, and it can cover wounds or scars just like the cone. Rather than restricting their head, the jacket covers a wound or incision on their belly or back so that your pet cannot get to it.

They need skin protection: T-shirts (Wipe your dog down with a damp cloth, too.) If your dog is really itchy or has a skin infection, try putting them in a t-shirt to protect their skin from their teeth or nails.

How do you make a dog sock?

Steps:

1. Turn one sock inside out to make the body and hind legs.
2. Flatten the sock so that the heel is facing up.
3. Use the length from the opening of the sock to the heel to create the hind legs.
4. Turn the sock right side out and stuff with fiberfill and lavender.
5. Sew the gap closed.
